Our Journey at Thermonik ENG

1982

The Beginning

In Taito-ku, Tokyo, Koho Engineering Co., Ltd. was established (Founder and President: Kunihiro Hatakeyama).
The company began designing and manufacturing high-temperature, high-vacuum electric furnaces, as well as various specialized furnaces for new material research.
This marked the start of our journey.

1987

Laying the Foundation for Growth

The company changed its name to Thermonik Co., Ltd. and increased its capital to 10 million yen.
We established our own factory in Yotsukaido City, Chiba Prefecture, laying the groundwork for future business expansion.

2001

Leap to the Global Stage

Thermonik Inc. was established in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, with Mr. Sang-Ryong Kwon as President & CEO.
Through a technical partnership with Thermonik Co., Ltd., a truly global production and supply system was launched.

2005-2010

Innovation and Expansion

We registered a patent for a single-crystal growth furnace (2005), began exporting to the United States and China (2008), and were certified as a venture company (2010).
Through these milestones, we significantly expanded both our technological capabilities and our market presence.

2011～2012

・We began exporting to Taiwan and Europe (Germany and France) and exhibited at a battery trade show in Japan.

2012-2014

Establishment of Patented Technologies

We consecutively registered multiple patents, including graphite heater furnaces and firing furnaces with heating rollers, thereby establishing our unique core technologies and enhancing our competitive advantage.

2017

Restructuring of Business Organization

Thermonik Co., Ltd. relocated its headquarters to Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture. Advancing as a wholesaler of heating furnace components, the company embarked on a new stage of development.

2021

Strengthening of Research & Development System

Thermonik Inc. relocated to a new building with an attached test center, establishing a state-of-the-art environment for research and development.

2025

Establishment of Domestic Support System

Thermonik ENG Inc.. was established in Narashino City, Chiba Prefecture. We began providing domestic support for Thermonik Inc. products in Japan, striving to enhance customer satisfaction.

To the Future

Building on the solid technology and experience we have cultivated since our founding, the Thermonik Group will continue to provide innovative solutions that shape the future.
